Last day in the midwest

So, I know we're getting a bit behind but I'm gonna try and catch us up at least one day, wednesday.

In the morning we woke up in Eau Claire stiff and sore.  Actually that's a total lie, I slept quite well.  We went out and got some local brews then.  I'm sure Luke already told you that Wisconsin brews are known as mass produced and bad but that's just one aspect of the whole spectrum.  Some of their micro-brews are also delicious.

Afterward we had a coffee and walked around the campus of UWEC.  It was actually pretty.  Their campus is right along the Chippewa river and they have hills and trees and trails and stuff.  In one place there is a rock that juts out into the river were you can just chillax and listen to the sweet sounds of running water.  Luke can tell you more about it but it was a really nice spot to just go and relax.

We then went with our new friend Emily and played frisbee in a park for a bit before we went back to their house to wait for Katie to get out of her first day on the job.  When that happened, we said by to everyone and left for Waukesha.

On the way there we had some fun.  We passed a car of 4 girls early in the day and after we pulled off for a rest area break, we passed them again.  Then, they started following us and doing everything that we did, speed up, slow down, change lanes, etc.  So we took an exit and left the interstate.  And then got right back on and passed them again.  We saw them pointing at us and talking, it kept us entertained.

We arrived at the Morrison's around 530 and he had some of his guys from the college down to have a bbq once they got off work.  Most of them were really nice guys, but what would you expect at New Tribes Mission Bible School?  But seriously, they were all great.

Afterwards we got to sit down with Carla and Ben and look at his pictures from his visit to his brother in Mozambique with Nathan, his son.  They got Ben talking and for the next hour or more we had a great theological discussion.   Ben's got his stuff together, no question about that, and it was great to hear another Christian guy who is so strong in his faith share it with us.

After that we went to bed cause we had to get up early to take a 10 hour drive to Steubenville, OH, but that's another story, for now.

Chris
